What did Creative Bridge make for you?
Gian and Fi have made a few different items for the school.  Initially we asked them to make a low-level wooden fence which doubled as a ‘trim trail’ for some of our more adventurous pupils.  They’ve since gone on to help undertake repairs to specialist wooden play equipment,  make some lovely ‘lollipop’ style wooden fencing, and also helped us with more traditional security fencing.

How did you first hear about them?
I’ve known Giancarlo for a number of years, we spent time together on the lifeboat crew in Penarth.  He is a real craftsman, and together with Fi they can create innovative solutions in wood and other materials.

What made you choose them over others?
We like their innovation, frequently coming up with items that have an added value, or an additional use, which is a real bonus in an educational setting.

How was the process of working with Gian and Fiona?
Great – lots of their work has been weather dependent and even so they’ve always achieved programme and costs.

The quality of their installations has been excellent and we’ve had no issues.

For us their work has been about keeping pupils safe in an unobtrusive way- and they’ve achieved that.

They are absolutely 💯 amazed. They say it’s unique, unusual, gobsmacking, they want it! Everyone wants to touch it & it’s generally one of the first things they notice. As I say a piece of Art & everyone agrees.

I had an idea which I took to them & they totally transformed what was in my head into reality! On top of that they exceeded all expectations as we have a beautiful & practical work of Art. I have already recommended them to so many of our customers, nothing is too much trouble and most importantly nothing is beyond their capabilities to create the most stunning unique pieces you can imagine

if anyone is thinking of getting a creative, unique piece of furniture or home accessories give them a call as i know they will create a talking point for your home or business as they have done for mine.

As an eco conscious shop, it was really important that we used a company that was local and had the same ethos as us; working with sustainable materials that have longevity and fit our aesthetic.

What stood out the most about GIan and Fiona at Creative Bridge was how involved they were throughout the whole process. They made the effort to come to our shop to talk through initial ideas and discuss material options face to face.

They took their own measurements, helped with the design process and fitted it, meaning that they provided a thorough service from start to finish, taking the stress out of the equation. Their prices were very competitive and the quality of their work is top notch. They were a fantastic company to work with.

What made you choose them over others?
Liked the concept of an oak and resin work of art door.

How was the process of working with Gian and Fiona?
Very approachable, came out to see us and understood the concept, we visited their studio, Fiona produced a maquette based on the colours we had illustrated.
Gian secured a piece of oak with a live edge which we turned down. The second piece had the benefit of a knot hole which added to the overall beauty of the door/artwork.
Gian and Fiona came once to fit door and again to apply a fillet to fit a non-standard wall.

Everybody takes photos and has to touch it.

Absolutely – genuinely authentic team; very skilled at their metier.

Is there anything else you’d like to add about your experience?
We have commissioned a garden arbour and a carport (with a sedum roof) from Creative Bridge.

Kitchen Island worktop is the main item (also 2 small tables and a lazy Susan more recently).

We asked around and they came highly recommended by Rhys at Topps Tiles who had work done by creative bridge for himself.

What made you choose them over others?
Highly recommended by someone who we worked with on several projects in our home so we trusted his opinion, he also showed us photographs of what they had done for him and directed us to the Creative Bridge web-site, which was impressive. Finally, we like to use local people and they were the only ones who would make a fully bespoke worktop.

How was the process of working with Gian and Fiona?
Excellent, they are both lovely people and very approachable. They came to visit and see our kitchen to get a good feel for what we needed rather than just looking at photos or drawings. They listened to what we wanted and also shared ideas adding their expertise on what would and wouldn’t work where required. The final product was definitely the result of a great team effort!

The worktop well exceeded our expectations and we have so many positive comments from other people who visit. It shows exceptional workmanship.

‘Wow’ is often the first thing they say. People also comment how unique it is and that it is a stunning centerpiece of our new kitchen.

Absolutely, no hesitation and we already have. Because of the whole experience of working with them and the exceptionally high quality of the finished product. We now wouldn’t use anyone else for future work requiring their expertise.

We’ve subsequently used them for other smaller jobs and found them to be equally as professional and produced high quality items on all occasions. We couldn’t recommend them highly enough.

Was looking for a resin artist and they were honestly the first people I found that could work with resin and were local.

How was the process of working with Gian and Fiona?
Brilliant from start to finish. I had a vague idea of what I wanted but it was quite an unusual request and wasn’t sure if they’d even understand what I was on about, but they put me at ease in the first 10 seconds of speaking to them and they were so enthusiastic about the project, I knew I was in good hands. They kept me updated throughout and were even accomodating enough to male tweaks to the final product after it had been made.

100% it was better than I even imagined it could have been.

What sort of comments have you had from friends, family, or customers about it?
It was a gift for my brother to celebrate the release of his trainer collaborations with Nike and New Balance and he loves it. It has pride of place in his studio now.

Absolutely. They were so helpful not just with building the display unit, but also giving creative ideas of how it can be even better than I imagined. And they were so enthusiastic about the whole process. They seemed almost as excited about it as I was. So I knew they were going to knock it out of the park, and they did.

Gian and Fiona are extremely passionate about what they do and clearly love an opportunity to get creative with their work. I was worried that what I wanted could end up being a bit naff if it wasn’t done right but these are the guys I will be going back to if I ever need a similar project done in the future. Very reasonably priced too. They tried to refuse a tip but I insisted as they could be charging way more than they do for the quality of their work!
